Rachel has known Veronica since they were both very young, as she graduated from high school with Rachel's brother, David. However, they didn't become close until Veronica joined the Catasauqua Area Showcase Theater (CAST) as an adult. They shared a mutual weirdness and energy that couldn't be explained. Veronica was Rachel's roommate for a few years, and then even Barry's once he moved in! Rachel can't wait to see what antics Veronica comes up with as her Maid of Honor.
Karen and Rachel also met doing CAST. It was when Karen played Cinderella, and Rachel played her evil stepsister that they started to get to know each other. Karen is always Rachel's voice of reason in life, because she's got a really great head on her shoulders! Karen also hosts weekly wine nights so all their girlfriends can get together and act 16 again for one night a week. Rachel is so excited to have Karen by her side on her big day!
Stacey and Rachel's relationship goes all the way back to when they worked together scooping Italian ice at Rita's in high school. They only knew each other as coworkers back then, but got close when Stacey joined...you guessed it...CAST. Stacey is the creative one in their group of friends, always coming up with great ideas. Rachel is blessed to have Stacey stand with her on her wedding day.
Zayna is Rachel's sister-in-law. You could say that Rachel was responsible for David and Zayna meeting, since Rachel is the one that got David a side job at Victoria's Secret, where Zayna worked, in college. Rachel and Zayna are usually rolling their eyes at whatever David and Barry are talking about when they're together. Rachel is so happy to have Zayna share in this day with her.
Courtney is Barry's sister and Rachel's soon to be sister-in-law. They actually went to school together, but thought they didn't know each other in those days, until a picture surfaced of them at the same party in elementary school. Rachel felt welcomed by Courtney from the first time Barry took Rachel home to meet his family. Rachel is extremely grateful to have Courtney in the bridal party.
